Scholarship & Grant Research

This guide offers scholarship and grant resources available outside of those provided through Rogers State University.

RSU Libraries understands that funding your education can feel overwhelming at times.

We have designed this guide to consolidate a large number of scholarship and grant resources outside of those provided by Rogers State University. If you are the successful recipient of a scholarship, contact RSU Financial Aid right away to learn how to apply it towards your tuition.

Click the links on the left to find resources at the state, federal, and international levels, as well as tips for successful scholarship and grant writing. More questions? Book an appointment with RSU Libraries to assist with searching for scholarships!

Before you start your search...

  • Consider completing the FAFSA to possibly be qualified for any state-funded grants or scholarships. Not all scholarships require, but it may be helpful.
  • Consider if you or your parents' current employer offers scholarships/tuition-wavers or consider working for an employer who does.
  • Consider the community organizations you or your parents are involved in to see if they offer scholarship or grant opportunities.
  • Already know what field you want to study? Consider focussing your search on scholarships and grants for those with your major.

Safety Tips

When applying for funds to pay for your education it's important to be aware of potential scams.

  • If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
  • You should never have to pay for the opportunity to apply for a scholarship or grant.
  • Be aware of the amount of personal information you are providing. Do not give your social security number, any bank account information, or any in-depth personal financial information when applying for scholarships and grants.
  • Nothing is guaranteed when you apply for a scholarship or grant. So, if the wording of the scholarship says it is, it's very likely illegitimate or some kind of scam.
