Building Your Skills

Critical Thinking is not intuitive. It is a skill that must be taught and learned. As with any skill, it takes a substantial amount of practice and accountability to cultivate an ability to the level that it is applied automatically. These games and exercises will help you practice and improve your ability to Think Critically using Logic. The assessments will also help you determine where you need more study.

The Cognitive Reflection Test
There is an interesting test associated with metacognition and reflection that has been proposed by management professor Shane Frederick. It is known as the Cognitive Reflection Test. There are only three short questions in the test. You can try it out here.
Critical Thinking Test
This Critical Thinking test measures your ability to think critically and draw logical conclusions based on written information. Critical Thinking tests are often used in job assessments in the legal sector to assess a candidate's analytical critical thinking skills. A well known example of a critical thinking test is the Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal.

Logical Reasoning test
Logical reasoning tests are almost always a part of any job assessment or intelligence testing setup. You can use this test as part of aptitude test practice to make sure you are maximally prepared. The format of this test is similar to Raven's progressive matrices.
Logical Reasoning Test 1
This logical reasoning test comprises 15 questions, each containing a grid of symbols. In each question one of the symbols is missing. Your task is to choose which one of the options best fits the missing symbol.
Each question will have 12 possible answers, one of which is correct. You will have to work quickly and accurately to perform well in this test. There is no overall time limit for the test, but there is a limit of 70 seconds for each question.
