Esports

To put it simply, esports are competitive video games. 

"Esports are video games specifically designed to reward skill and teamwork. They always involve some sort of head-to-head play against real human opponents. While regular video games may focus on storytelling, puzzles, or entertaining gameplay challenges, esports are specifically about competing with other people." (Collis  p. 164)
