Library patrons who are not Rogers State University students, faculty or staff may obtain checkout privileges by making a one-time-only $20 contribution.
For this contribution, the community member receives the privilege of borrowing books and audiovisual materials. No contribution is needed to peruse materials on the shelves, access Wireless internet as a guest, or use the public access computer.
Patrons will need to show a photo ID in order to create an account.
Community Borrowers may have a total of 10 items charged out to them at any time, with no more than 5 being in any one format (5 print books, 5 CDs/Playaways or 5 DVDs/BluRays). Books, physical audiobooks and CDs are checked out for 21 days, and DVDs and Blu-Rays are checked out for 7 days. Community Borrower card holders may utilize interlibrary loan for up to 2 items at a time. Unfortunately, due to contract restrictions, we cannot provide access to our eBooks or electronic journal articles.
Local teachers, librarians, and school administrators
Rogers & Mayes County librarians, as well as educators and administrators from State Board of Education accredited schools in Rogers & Mayes County, are eligible for a free community borrower card. To apply for a card please bring your school ID, badge, or proof of employment. Privileges are the same as for regular community borrowers.
RSU Alumni may receive checkout privileges from Stratton Taylor Library by first obtaining an Alumni Card from the RSU Development Office. Alumni are able to access Wireless internet as a guest, or use the public access computer. The library does not charge alumni for this benefit. We will place a barcode on the back of the Alumni card and add the patron to our database.
